“I felt at ease with Michelle, she has a warm aura and helps you to feel relaxed. We enjoyed some cacao while preparing for the painting and she invited me to choose my own colour palate. Michelle put some music on, made sure the space was comfortable and warm and began painting intuitively on my body. I feel that Michelle’s painting reflects my feelings towards my body; that I am increasingly in tune with the rhythms of myself and nature.
The natural cycles of life are echoed in our bodies; in our circadian rhythm like the dance between the sun and the moon, our grounding breath like the tides on the shore, the experience of the menstrual cycle mirroring the seasons, the fluctuations of our bodies which bloom and change.
I honour and welcome the changes and cycles of myself as an act of self love. I show gratitude to my body and water her daily in words of affirmation and nourishment. Things bloom when they are loved.”
